The history of the origin and development of Republican Bobruisk unitary manufacturing enterprise "Factory of art products"

In 1937, on the basis of the embroidery shop of the farm "Shveyprom" artel was organized "March 8" in the amount of 15 people in subjection, "Belpromsovet". At the end of this year, the gang became part of the "Belhudozhpromysly".

To expand the range of products with the national Belarusian ornament embroiderers cooperative contacted craftsmen living in rural areas who provide their products: Belarusian folk costumes, towels, tablecloths and other embroidered articles, shared experiences, handed down from generation to generation, from one seamstress to another.

Live connection embroiderers cooperative with the folk craftswomen from the rural hinterland served as further impetus for the integration of rural embroiderers to work the farm. Organized teams of embroiderers-home-based workers in villages of the Bobruisk district, Mogilev and Gomel regions: Chernin, Kozlovka, Vasylivka, Stasenka, Telosa, Lachica, Svetlogorsk, etc. These traditions are carefully preserved by the artists of the factory so far, the accumulated materials are used in the development of new products.

During these years, all the products of the farm was decorated with hand embroidered in a cross technique.

In 1938, the farm began to learn machine embroidery. By early 1941 the team of embroiderers machine embroidery consisted of 20 people, and at the team of embroiderers hand embroidery - 60 people, and about 300 people worked as home-based workers in rural areas.

During the great Patriotic war, all the farm economy was UNoctogene. The enterprise building was completely destroyed. After the liberation of Bobruisk Soviet Army began restoring the farm. By the early fifties the volume of gross output of the farm amounted to 5960,3 thousand rubles, which employs around 100 people. The products were presented at international exhibitions in Germany, Japan, Canada etc.

With the October 1960 decision of the Ministry of local industry from 25.09.1960 No. 234 artel "March 8" is renamed as the employment of the factory of art products. The factory was located in two buildings: on Moskovskaya St. (built in 1955 on Gogol street 44-(Holliday village was recently completed in 1957), at this time, the company employs 570 people (400 people – homeworkers).

In 1965 began the development of the technique of lace-making with crochet hook. For this kind of crafts were involved knitters, who worked in home-based conditions.

In 1974, opened a new section for the production of Souvenirs made of wood, decorated with carving and painting (kitchen sets, panels, souvenir dolls, etc.).

In January 1981, the factory of art products and workshops of Bobruisk Bobruisk factory was founded Association art products with a number of employees 1,310.

In 1981, the factory develops a new kind of folk Handicrafts - products of flax in engineering "macrame" ( panels, curtains, various Souvenirs).

In addition, since 1983 has been mastered knit products from wool mixture knitted ( sweaters, socks, mittens, scarves, etc.), and used the labour of home-based employees.

In 1987, the Association is divided into two independent enterprises: employment of an arts factory (number of employees is 980 people) and employment of the factory.

Since 1993 the company is included in the State concern "belhudozhpromysly" in accordance with the Resolution of Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus No. 643 dated 27.09.1993 G.

Since 2001 the company produces products with state symbols: banners, flags for government and public agencies, banners for organizations and institutions with their own symbols, historic flags.

Since 2007, opened a new site of artistic forging, which is a completely new direction of activity of the enterprise, which includes production of a wide range of forged products: grilles, railings, furniture, decorative metal products, etc.

Today, looking at the events of bygone days, we can confidently say that our story is just beginning and the main thing for us is to remain faithful to the traditions of folk art, multiplying the experience transmitted from generation to generation.
